About Me

Jordan_FeisalyHey there!

I’m Alec, originally from and living in the Midwest, with a brief one-year period spent in Spain during University. I live for experiences – the authentic, ones that bring us closer together as humanity. Whether this is done through travel, gastronomy, music, literature, my purpose in life is to connect people and understand the world through the multi-faceted kaleidoscope we call planet earth. I’m interested in the unknown and am forever in pursuit of knowledge – cultural, academic, or scientific. As a result, I try to travel frequently and utilize local options. Outside of travel, I’m an avid reader, couchsurfer, foodie, amateur hispanophile, football fan, and routine-breaker. Language and culture fascinate me and every day I aim to learn about words, cuisine, nuances, music, and news. I’m also interested in the social sciences – anthropology, philosophy, geopolitics, conflict & security policy, international development, and travel literature.
